About
On April 1, 2004, the first Prayer and Praise Rally was held at the Civic Center arena. Approximately 8,000 people, representing over 580 churches from the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), came together to worship God and pray for our city. God visited that place as an incredible roar arose unto the heavens, invoking the presence and glory of God over the CSRA. At that time, such a meeting had never been held in the Augusta area. The results of our prayers have been no less than phenomenal as we have seen changes in the realms of crime, economic growth, God's protection over our city, and much more.
Since 2004, Prayer and Praise Rallies continue to be held on the National Day of Prayer each year, as well as other prayer gathering throughout the city. We still see proof daily of God's faithfulness to answer our prayers.
As events unfold in our nation, we are compelled once again to sound the call for prayer. The upcoming Prayer and Praise Rally for America on September 23rd will again be like nothing this city has ever experienced. From all over the CSRA and across this nation, the Church is coming together to pray on behalf of America. We believe that our nation is in desperate need, and the Church can make a difference. We are calling the Body of Christ to come together and join us as we pray for America.... in Jesus' name. Time is short, and it is vital that we take advantage of this moment to join in unity with one purpose and one cause.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
